7 years of marriage, 13 1/2 years of love, 1 baby & 2 businesses later... you’re still my best friend, ride or die, the most handsome man I know, and the most selfless and giving human I’ve ever met. You’re my world and my center, and one thing I’m sure of is that for the rest of my life you’ll move mountains to protect our family and to provide for us. Your humble nature I admire most, but what makes that even better is that you’re not humble for show, you know what you have to offer and you just don’t feel a need to ask for attention, that’s prob become one of my favorite qualities about you as we’ve grown older... not to mention you’re the best dressed and best accessorized men I know 👌 (you always smell good, too). Thank you for being my everything and my dream come true ✨ love you more than life and most important, I love OUR life. #happyanniversary #indianweddinganniversary #wehaveanotheronenextmonth😂

I had the opportunity to visit CALTY (California Toyota) which is the @toyotausa design studio and was BLOWN away by the years of incredible work that goes into building and designing a car from concept to finish. Being in the car industry myself, it’s easy to get used to seeing so many versions of the “finished product” that you forget they were all once just a vision. I’ve been cruising around in the new 2019 Toyota Avalon for the last couple of days and it has me contemplating trading in my SUV, I forgot how much fun it is to drive a sedan (esp the Touring model with that V6 👌). If you want to see more from the Toyota design studio check out my stories, it was such an incredible experience, and since a Toyota was my first car it felt so nostalgic! #CALTY #Toyota #Avalon 📸: @cassydy

We were so honored to be featured on @thechaimommasblog last week in celebration of Diwali. For those of you who don’t know, Diwali is the Hindu new year/5 day Festival of Lights, a VERY big celebration in India. Today on the blog I am sharing how the holiday has become more special to us over the last few years as well as the interview on our Multi-cultured family and how we balance both of our family’s beliefs, practices, and holidays. It’s not something I’ve shared a ton about on the blog until recently, not sure why, but now seems as good of a time as ever!! Blending our family and placing importance on both cultures has always been priority for us, so sharing this means the world to me and I truly hope you all enjoy this little peek into our family culture! #theUcrew #happydiwali2018 (side note, Diwali is Nov. 7 this year ✨) THANK YOU to @thechaimommasblog for gifting us one of your Love & Light Diwali boxes, all 3 of us loved it!!

I took a much needed break from social media over the weekend and boy did it feel good. I can always tell when I start to lose my passion and creativity every so often that I need to take a step back, unplug, and recharge. Social media for all of its beauty also has the tendency to fog your mind up from time to time, and when you do social media as a job, it tends to get even more all encompassing and once the joy of it fades the healthiest thing for me to do is take a step back. I have to remind myself as I’m running this little business of mine that even the Mon-Fri/9-5ers get “days off” which I don’t always allow myself to have. When starting a business, any type of business, the key is to find balance and what I’ve realized is that from time to time it’s ok to unplug and take social media “fasts.” As much as I love this space, I love my mental sanity even more 😘 trying my best to practice what I preach and listen to what my heart is telling me to do a little more from here on out and also reminding myself that I started this blog for a reason: to always create and share with passion, honesty, and most of all, love.

#ad Cancer does not discriminate. It doesn’t care if you are a 57 year old about to become a first-time grandmother or if you are a 36 year old mother of three, and unfortunately for my family we have witnessed this first hand. Today, everyday, every month we honor those we love who have been affected by cancer, and for the month of October I am proud to honor the two I love most: my Mother-in-law and my cousin. @wordswithfriends is aware of the reality and that is why I am so proud to work with them to share that this month they are partnering with Susan G. Komen to raise awareness for breast cancer and have launched a new “Pink Ribbon Tile” in support. Their goal is to raise awareness through play and through all of you sharing your screenshots of the game’s new pink tiles, they are hoping to unlock $100K in donations to finding a cure for breast cancer! We all know someone, have lost someone, or could be that someone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer; let us all honor and praise those still in battle. This entire month and every day I do my best to honor my MIL and cousin who fight so brave, from the day of diagnosis and still today, and it is my privilege to be a constant support for them always and to use my platform to spread awareness about any way to give back to cancer research. #PowerOfWords #PlayPinkForTheCure #WordsWithFriends2

Kind of, sort of, SUPER loving how often his new school hosts family events & how much they encourage family/parent participation in everything📚 just got home from a hosted dinner at his school in celebration of their Book Fair & it was quite the little gathering. We ate dinner, Raj had a blast playing with his class buddies & then we shopped til we dropped at the book sale... did I mention they also had an entire section for adults?! Uhhhh 🙋🏻‍♀️ yes please! And every dollar spent was justified because #fundraiser duh!

The highs and lows of the weekend... HIGH: got to see my little brother’s band play and then spent the night at my older brother’s house and spent entire next day loving on my niece and nephew
LOW: because I had a couple drinks at said show, I then took an entire day recovering from a hangover
HIGH: finally saw the movie The Nun
LOW: was too scared to go to the bathroom by myself in the middle of the night

All this to say that in my 20’s I could drink all the drinks and be in class at 7am the next morning which is def no longer, and also I like to pretend I’m brave watching scary movies at the theatre but really, I’m a big fat chicken 🐓 #30something
