✨Gym anxiety✨ . For most of us this is something we struggle with at one point or another. For me it developed when I became a personal trainer. I felt I had to meet a certain standard. Look a certain way. Lift a certain weight. For others it may be because you’re not sure what you’re doing. Or you lack self confidence. The list goes on. . 3 quick tips that helped me overcome the gym anxiety barrier... . 1. Competence breeds confidence. If you’re competent in the gym i.e. you know how to perform the exercises, you will feel 1000x more confident about training in the gym. How do you do this? Look up exercise videos on YouTube, get a training plan, hire a coach. . 2. Have a plan. When you walk into the gym you want to know what you’re doing when you get there. If you’re anxious, don’t play it by ear. Get a training programme so you can get in, do the work, and get out. . 3. Wear something you feel comfortable in to the gym. If you’re self conscious about what you’re wearing, it will distract from what you’re there to do. . Let me know in the comments if any of these tips have ever helped you!

Sunday’s are usually my day for grocery shopping, meal prep, and laundry. It takes all day long. I don’t really enjoy the day. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I mean there are just no words. I am so proud of this man right here! The picture to the left was 2 years ago when we came to Disney and the one on the right is from today. - Blake did not do 80 day obsession with me because his schedule didn’t allow it. He did follow a meal plan and a program though, and the results are AMAZING! I might even say better than mine! Lol. Actually I would TOTALLY say that. He did a program that we offer that is only 25 min a day 5 days a week and he lost a total of 30 POUNDS!!! Insane! - I am super excited to be on vacation with this guy at our favorite place on earth! And I am even more excited to celebrate being married to him for 10 YEARS! I started coming to Disney World with Blake’s family 12 years ago when I was just 16 so the memories we have in Disney are endless and very dear to my heart. Sooooo in an act to boost my confidence back up I took some progress pics! 🤭😍 . The left was in March after my first workout since having my second son. I felt bloated, hot and uncomfortable taking a picture with my shirt off. So much so that I hid my face with my phone. I was subconsciously ashamed of how I looked. But what for?! Heartburn... ice cream 100%. 🙈 Skipping meals for giant frozen yogurts with granola... ya i did that too. #ificoukdturnbacktime 🎶 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When i started cleaning up my diet i realized how sick ice cream made me feel. I realized it actually GAVE me heartburn instead of curing (masking) it, like I thought in my younger years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s no wonder, as so many ice creams and frozen yogurts are full of high fructose corn syrup and a slew of other nasty ingredients, especially the fat free versions 🙅🏻‍♀️🤢. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For me unfortunately even the simple ingredient treat doesn’t sit well. Soooo, this is the kind of post, I get nervous to share. Because I am not perfect and social media makes everything seem amazing. But I told myself I would be authentic on this journey so here we are. It has been a long time since I have done a program end to end, 100%. (Since January actually) and while I am overall pretty healthy and strong, and workout in some form or fashion most days, I am excited to tweak the plan a bit, get a little more serious and to see those abs again. I wish I could say they disappeared because I just had the twins, but yeah, the girls are almost 5 and the abs are 39. 🙄 I wish I could say that I wasnt eating healthy, but I do. I just like wine and ice cream too! 😳Heck, today I was making brussel sprouts and chocolate cookies at the same time. lol. Its always been about a lifestyle and balance for me but having a plan to follow for 8 weeks help me get back on track. And it gives me something to get excited about. So I am smiling. And energized. Future hairdresser here, cut these bangs herself while @i_was_a_highwayman snoozed on the couch! This one always keeps us on our toes I tell you. Cant really get mad at this sweet face and it makes me realize how different my parenting methods are today than even a year ago. To discipline actually means to teach, so we had a nice talk about asking for help for things like this since she knows she wasnt supposed to do this. It totally explains her sudden outburst of screaming yesterday afternoon as she admitted to trying to get our attention because she knew she had done something she shouldnt and was waiting to get caught. Man this parenting thing is interesting, sure does make you reevaluate those initial reactions that come from learned behaviors from your own childhood.
