COSA CONTO E COSA NON CONTO NEI MACROS? 🤔 Da quando posto i what I eat in a day, mi chiedete in molti quali alimenti conto e quali invece tralascio. Non avendo particolari obiettivi agonistici, ritengo che non sia necessario inserire tutti gli alimenti nel calcolo dei macros. Prima di tutto c’è la VERDURA 🥦🥗 mangiandone io una porzione non troppo abbondante ad ogni pasto ed essendo non densa di calorie, non la conto mai. (No, nemmeno la zucca.. 🎃) Non conto nemmeno il KETCHUP 🍅 sempre per lo stesso motivo: non ne consumo una quantità così abbondante. Alla fine si tratta di qualche grammo di carbo in più... La mattina e dopo pranzo è di rito il mio caffè americano con l’aggiunta di un po’ di latte 🥛 di solito uso latte scremato, oppure di mandorla, di anacardi o di nocciola. Per un goccino da massimo 40 g, non mi faccio troppe paranoie e trascuro il suo conteggio. Le GELATINE IPOCALORICHE 🍮 qua in UK trovo delle gelatine con circa 5/10 kcal. Come per il ketchup, quelle non le conto dato che contengono una quantità minima di carboidrati. Le pillole di OMEGA 3 non le conto nella quota dei miei grassi, le integro in più ai grassi che devo consumare. 🐟 Poi ovviamente se cade qualche grammo in più nella bilancia, o se in giro mi regalano qualche assaggio di cibo, ovviamente non sto lì a contarlo. Bisogna fare tutto con equilibrio e logica. Non ha senso farsi tante pare per degli assaggini. My days are often repetitive. It’s a love hate relationship. . . I like knowing that I’ll be able to wake up tomorrow, eat the same breakfast I did the day before and get to work around the same time because I catch the same bus every morning. I leave work around 5 to meet up my boyfriend to bart back home to gym and it’s always nice knowing there’s a schedule to everything. However, I try to make things a little more interesting. . . Every morning I walk a differ route to work, decide whether or not I want to take the stairs 14 floors down or the elevator, and leave at a different time. I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone and make plans after work instead of going to the gym, but’s it’s hard. I’m still figuring out how to maintain a balance gym life and an actual life. Getting out of my comfort zone is hard, but it’s not impossible. H E L P! Sometimes I think about waking up at 6AM to do an early session, so I can hang out afterwards. Non avrei mai immaginato, ma in tantissime ieri mi avete chiesto come ho contato i macros della torta che ho messo nelle stories. 🍰 Innanzitutto vorrei fare una premessa: come ho detto più volte, mangiando fuori è impossibile tracciare i macros perfettamente al grammo. Ciò che si può fare è solo una stima approssimativa. Detto ciò, un trucco che uso io per qualsiasi cosa che mangio fuori è cercare i macros di quell’alimento su myfitnesspal, vedere cosa esce fuori e fare una stima. Altro trucco è guardare i menu delle grandi catene o i prodotti delle grandi marche (es. Starbucks, McDonalds, Giovanni Rana...) cercare i valori nutrizionali di quell’alimento e usare quelli. Io ieri ho preso una torta fatta in casa al caffè e noci. Ho cercato i valori di una torta di Starbucks, ho trovato che più o meno le torte di quel tipo (con pan di Spagna e glassa) hanno tutte 45c 25g 5p. Senza troppi calcoli e paranoie ho inserito quella. Sarà accurato? Sicuramente no. Ma è solamente una stima. BRUNCH 1-0-1. It’s the weekend and your friends all wanna go out and have fun. You’re either: 1. Dreading it because you don’t wanna spend money and don’t want to ruin your “diet” 2. Excited because who doesn’t love food and brunch? . . Going out doesn’t have to be hard. It can be expensive but, sometimes if you don’t spend some extra money, you won’t have the best time. It what you make of the situation (that’s all I’m saying) quality time with friends are important. . . So a quick tip for brunch is: 1️⃣ protein protein protein. (Make sure there’s higher source of protein) 2️⃣sub the potatoes for fruit or salad instead (you can nibble on a friend’s potatoes instead if you really want some!) 3️⃣ If they give you toast, ask for no butter or butter on the side. 🙂 . . Not that we needed science to tell us, but it’s a well known fact that women can tolerate a higher volume of training & more frequent training, as well as shorter recovery periods. So take advantage of it girls & smash your lagging areas more frequently. • Still training with my coach Sec Gomez @rockwellatletica 3 times a week, and 2 solo sessions on top of that. Adding in cardio here & there but not prioritising it. • This morning’s workout went like this; Warm Up; 3x12 goblet squats with 18kg dumbbell. Super sets with banded frog pumps 3xAMRAP. 90kg hip thrusts 4x12 70kg dead lifts 4x10 (Reminder; I’m not interested in your one rep max. And I’m only interested in comments from fellow long limbed, 5’10”+ Amazon’s 🤷🏽‍♀️). Back extensions with a 10kg plate. Finisher; 20 min treadmill on 8 incline at 6km/h. No need to do 25 different exercises per session. One of the trainers here gave me some advice that I applied today and WHEW it killed me 🗣 . 🖍 smith machine single leg squat (dropsets - 4 rounds of amrap(i got maybe 30) per leg)) . 🖍banded romanian deadlifts (amrap, low weight tho - 3 sets) . 🖍 front squat (dropset - amrap 3 sets) . 🖍 single leg leg press machine (dropset - 3 sets per leg THEN a burnout with both legs for the last set) . 🖍 banded glute bridge holds (30 seconds on, 30 off - 6 rounds or until your 🍑is burninnnnggg 🔥) . 🖍 GHR machine (you guessed it, dropsets, amrap) THESE GIVE YOU A STRETCH MY GOODNESS! . 🖍 hip abduction machine (4 sets of 30 - pick a weight you can do 30 of) YEAH THIS HURTED SO have a good leg day 🔥

••Booty Transformation•• I wasnt even going to post this, I wanted to see the comparison. But now I just cant help but show yall my hard work. From April 2018🥞 to Oct 2018🍑 ••One part of my fitness journey back in April; I was counting my macros specifically, killing myself with cardio and even missing out on life. When James got back from his 6 month long deployment🇺🇸 he could see my spine and though he was sweet about it, it was clear I was too skinny. I decided I needed to make a drastic #change. My goals since then have involved eating intuitively- never restricting myself, (if I want a doughnut Im going to have my damn doughnut🍩), and putting on muscle mass whenever possible to become stronger mentally and physically. FOOD IS NOT THE ENEMY: its actually where your gains lie, and exercise is NOT a punishment, its a celebration of what your body is capable of!! Once I learned this; I unlocked the key to balance in my life, Im still perfecting it, but Im closer to where I want to be than I was back in April. Whos ready to be brave and make some changes with me?! Youre really the one who can fully empower yourself 💪💫💎🔐💕

Some people look cute lifting, me? My double chin blessed me and my coach catches it in a pic lol. But hey! At least I got my a** to grass and proper form. I’ll take that win over looking pretty. I’m more down in the dirty when I workout anyways.

Sapete qual è forse la cosa che mi ha aiutato maggiormente a migliorare la mia performance in palestra? La PERCEZIONE MUSCOLARE. In parole povere, quando eseguo un esercizio, per qualsiasi gruppo muscolare, mi assicuro di reclutare solo ed esclusivamente quello. Se per caso sento un altro muscolo essere coinvolto nell’esercizio, aggiusto la mia tecnica fino a che non lo sento lavorare in modo corretto. Mi ha colpito quando, dopo che ho postato la story in cui spiegavo come io eseguo l’hip thrust, ho ricevuto un sacco di messaggi di persone che dicevano di sentire solo i quadricipiti. Capita anche a me di sentirli a volte, ma nel caso ciò accada, aggiusto la mia posizione di partenza, controllo bene il movimento, fino a quando non sento lavorare solo i glutei 🍑 È questo forse il maggior segreto, sia aumentare la propria massa magra, sia per eseguire correttamente gli esercizi ed evitare infortuni. Inoltre, secondo me, il bello di praticare sollevamento pesi in palestra è anche aumentare la conoscenza che uno ha di se stesso. Non alzo solo dei pesi tanto per fare, ma durante ogni esercizio, mi metto in connessione con un muscolo del mio corpo. Troppo poetico? Forse, ma è così. 💕 Oltre a spingere come belve (usando pesi adeguati, e non troppo leggeri), io vi invito veramente ad aumentare la percezione muscolare, sia per crescere bene, sia soprattutto per arrivare a conoscervi e a sentirvi davvero. 💪🏻 P.s. LEG WORKOUT AND A REVIEW🙈 . . I was finally able to try out @mightybunsathletics‘s band and I reallly really like them! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BECAUSEEEE.... 1️⃣They don’t move at all. In the video, I stop to lower them to a different area (not bc it was moving!!) and I’m obsessed. 2️⃣The color is a beauty too. I’ve been working on hitting legs in the gym more often. 3️⃣ they wrote me a personal letter and gave me a sticker!! I’m just amazed at how much love they have provided❤️ Starting last week and it’s been kinda of an interesting change.
