Vi premetto che ormai penso si sia capito che voglio fare bb o Classic physique ed abbandonare con il tempo la mens physique. Lunedì dover aver fatto gambe con ottime prestazioni per me sono giunto ad una conclusione. La gamba va forte, ma non ha intenzione di seguire la parte superiore del corpo, sembro diviso in due sopra tirato sotto pallone di acqua. Ad oggi vi dico sti cazzi della gamba perché se per farla tirare devo perdere il piacere di allenare le gambe non so quanto ne valga la pena, questo non perché voglio già gettare la spugna o mettere le mani davanti in caso di insuccesso, ma perché penso che tutto abbia un corso e se al momento non si sta tirando un motivo ci sarà. Sono pienamente convinto che si raccoglie quello che si semina e se per adesso non si tirano vuol dire che devo continuare a seminare senza perdere di vista lobiettivo. Non mi importa quanto ci vorrà, ma arriverò ad avere la gamba che dico io, intanto mi godo un ritrovato squat post pressa pesante e che mi ridà fiducia. *Long post ahead* So I had a very bad night last night but it came with a silver lining, I work in an industry where making mistakes isnt really an option as its fast paced and one mistake can disrupt a lot of things, so its a case of you can always do better. • I train with my fencing coach 1 on 1 once per week, and train as a club twice per week, Im always being told I can do better but get given various peices of advise which can contradict one another by people other than my coach. • This can get very overwhelming and I was so frustrated with myself for messing up so much whilst trying to please everyone, I even get frustrated with myself for messing up at the gym when its for no one elses benefit but mine! • Thats the reason I actually cut squats out of my plan, because I just couldnt do them right due to physiological imbalances and was so disheartened by it. I reviewed my plan last night and made some changes forcing me to do my squats again and really focus on getting them right, and here is the result! The bar isnt wonky and knocking me off balance and my form is 10 times better than before! • This may sound silly to a lot of you, but for me personally, this is a huge stepping stone. I wanted to prove to myself that I am capable of bettering myself and not to focus on what others think I should do. It gets too much at times, but thats when you need to step back and see what you can do to help yourself ✌

Well that was unexpected. On stiff leg deadlift today I managed to push out 15 reps on 145kgs .... thats a 204kg 1RM. Thatll do. Form looked about the same as when I did sets with 140kg & 142kg in the last 2 sessions. Yoga is for everyone! ——————————————————————-Hips and hamstrings 〰️ Most of us of have tight hips and hamstrings as a result of our everyday lifestyle. Standing too much, sitting for too long, cycling, running, deadlifts and the list goes on.... The tightness may present itself as low back back or hamstring strain. It wasn’t until I found yoga and understood the importance of STRENGTH as well as stretching to prevent injury. I tore hamstrings on both legs MULTIPLE times before I started yoga from over stretching (and from poor technique as my dance background didn’t cue safe alignment) Many yoga postures are great for strengthening leg muscles and I haven’t had problems now for over 3 years! I learnt the hard way but that makes me even more passionate to take care of my body and anyone else’s. —————————————————

Contest season is coming to an end and many are now thinking about off season growing. . Yes, work on weak points but don’t put on weight just for the sake of it. . A lot of us aren’t able to carry huge amounts of muscle. So maybe concentrate on coming in tighter next time you’re on stage. . Today’s 6:30am fasted glutes and hamstrings session. I’ve done 4-5 sets of each, keeping it simple. Plus lying down leg curls which I haven’t filmed. I don’t isolate my quads anymore and I’ve learnt to position my feet so I mainly use hamstrings and glutes. Naturally my quads get engaged in the main leg session, but today was an additional one to hit my weaker hamstrings 💪

Its been a while since Ive posted anything bodybuilding related so heres a #throwback to my last leg session at Dungs Gym here in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 🇻🇳 . Ive had a couple of messages praising me for training whilst Im travelling, and equally Im sure a lot of people are thinking I should be just enjoying myself 🤷🏻‍♂️ However the truth is; I love training and relish the opportunity to train in different environments surrounded by other cultures 🌍 .
