I saved this post a month ago just as self reminder. I dont know about you, but I get easily discourage when the result is slow. Not that I didnt know that this journey will take its time and with many challenges. I do. Soon, it will be 3 months into my weightloss journey. I dare to say I still have the motivation despite the slow progress. #legday action from yesterday featuring my guy @meekmill with the Philly Anthem. I did this workout circuit style with tempo’ed reps. I’d go back to back while performing these exercises with no rest. First two exercises (squats and hammy curls) I went on a 3:0:2:1 tempo. 3 seconds lowering the weight, no pause at the bottom, 2 seconds raising the weight, 1 second pause at the top. Third (calf machine) I went on a 3:0:1:1 tempo. The key here when doing tempo workout is to push/pull weight you know you can get through the #workout with. Wow, my strength consistency increased by 20 LBS in the span of 2 weeks. (Doing incline dumbbell press) . . After Cutting my calories my strength dropped a lot. It was really fucking difficult adjusting to it . . Everyday I felt low of energy and frustrated on how much my strength decreased . . I was at a point where I was losing faith because the way I was thinking was if it’s bad now imagine later but . . I was like fucking it trust in what I’m doing and everything will be better . . I’m learning that no matter what I can’t fuck with time. Yes I will feel like shit when cutting my calories . . And not like a power super hero when heavy lifting . . It took me time for my body to adjust with the amount of calories I’ve been eating. . . Since I started trusting in what I’m doing and believe over time things will be better . . I’m now fucking stronger than ever and my energy increased to a whole another level 🔥 . . The reason why I’m sharing this with you is maybe you’re also at a low point in your fitness journey and thinking about giving up or losing faith. . .
